Autumn in the City

Here is the good news about fall in San Francisco: the fog finally clears out, and September and October give us the warmest, sunniest stretch of the whole year. Everyone else is pulling out sweaters while we are finally getting real beach weather. Take advantage of it before the rain shows up in late October.

One free family event worth putting on the calendar: the Potrero Hill Festival on Saturday, October 17, from 10 am to 4 pm on 20th Street between Wisconsin and Missouri. It is a free neighborhood block party with live music, food, and plenty for kids to do. No tickets, no planning required, just show up.
